Integrated Vane Shear Tester
The Integrated Vane Shear Tester (PS-VST-PAE) is a down-hole tool for in-situ testing. It works in the bottom of drilling hole for soil shear strength testing. Through a special probe rod or umbilical cable to the bottom of the hole, the vane plate torque head penetrates to the bottom hole where the formation has not yet been disturbed. The PS-VST-PAE can also be installed on the underwater robot carrier for seabed surface test. As an in-situ test instrument, it has the advantages of being real time, high accuracy, high efficiency, and low disturbance.
The PS-VST-PAE can be operated independently in bore-hole testing. It also can be used with the seabed CPT system. A full set of the PS-VST-PAE is composed of one integrated torque-angle measurer, one vane plate head (various head sizes can be customized), a data acquisition module and a set of data acquisition software. The range of shear strength is 0~300kPa.
