CPTu Investigation for Huainan-Nanjing-Shanghai of the Yangtze River Power Transmission Tower Project


The project includes the construction of three new substations in Nanjing, Taizhou, and Suzhou, and the expansion of two substations in Huainan and Shanghai West, with a transformer capacity of 12 million kVA, 2×779.5 km of new transmission lines, and an approved static investment of 26.11 billion yuan. The weight of a single Su-Tong Yangtze River Transmission Tower and the amount of foundation concrete both rank top around the world. And it’s China’s fourth AC UHV project built after the Jindong South-Nanyang-Jingmen, Huainan-Zhejiang North-Shanghai, and Zhejiang North-Fuzhou projects. Peneson has completed the geological investigation with the average water depth of 5.2m and average penetration depth 24m, On September 13th, 2015, Science and Technology Daily reported this event with the title “Chinese offshore CPT system has been successfully applied”.
